Greece Sailing Adventure

1. Trip Overview

Operator: Joerg Chabowski — CJ Sailing

Trip Name: Greece Sailing Adventure

Dates: June 29, 2026 to July 10, 2026 (12 days)

Location: Greece — Mediterranean Sailing Grounds

3. Payment Terms

Deposit Amount:   50% of total cost 

Balance Due:   90 days prior to the start of the sailing trip.

4. Cancellation Policy

I pay the charterer 6 month in advance therefore the following cancellation terms apply:

  • Cancellations made more than six (6) months before the trip departure date are eligible for a full refund. (minus $100 admin fee)

  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within six (6) months of the departure date 

  • However, if you must cancel, the operator will make every reasonable effort to find a suitable replacement participant. If a replacement is successfully found, a full refund will be issued regardless of timing.

The operator strongly recommends that all participants obtain travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations.

5. Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

Participation in ocean sailing involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: rough sea conditions, inclement weather, personal injury, illness, and property loss. By signing this agreement, the participant acknowledges these risks and voluntarily assumes full responsibility for their personal safety and wellbeing during the trip.

The participant agrees to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Joerg Chabowski, CJ Sailing, its agents, crew, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, injuries, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the trip, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct by the operator.

6. Conduct & Safety Rules

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner. The following rules apply for the safety and enjoyment of all on board:

  • Follow all safety instructions given by the captain and crew at all times.

  • Wear a life jacket when instructed or required by conditions.

  • Treat all fellow participants, crew, and local communities with respect.

  • Do not operate the vessel without explicit permission from the captain.

  • Any behavior deemed unsafe or disruptive may result in removal from the trip without refund.

7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

Any disputes, claims, or disagreements arising out of or relating to this agreement, the trip, or the services provided by CJ Sailing shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter shall be submitted to mediation before pursuing any further legal action.

All mediation shall take place in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provision.
